Like many others I was expecting that the launch of Last Minute Rewards would lead to the end of Point Breaks as we know them. Not so – well not yet – the point breaks list has been updated. Now valid for stays until July 30th 2011. Although you’ll have to go Egypt or Manila for an InterContinental!

I expect this to be last of the Point Breaks, as mentioned previously Priority Club are bringing out a new “Last Minute Reward Nights” starting in May. Although not explicitly mentioned in the press release I expect that this will replace Point Breaks – I’d be delighted to be wrong!

Priority Club Reward points come to my rescue – I arrived home at 5pm yesterday to find my bathroom in pieces – the plumber didn’t quite finish the job as promised. 1 hour later I’ve spent in 15,000 reward points and US$60 and I’m checking in to the local Crowne Plaza – had I paid cash it would have cost US$300+ for a walk in. Great to get last minute availability for reward nights.
