The Points vs Miles Debate, there is no easy answer to say that collection one is necessarily better than the other, but normally collecting points and redeming them in to airline miles is the way to go.

The arguments!

Why collect Airline Miles

Why not to:
1. You rely on qualifying nights to hit the next status level
2. There are many more offers to collect bonus points

It seems to me that another good reason to collect points and redeem them for miles is flexibility. Perhaps one airline FF program needs a small boost to reach a reward / tier / activity update — that would be a good time to spend PC points on airline miles.

I always collect points and then transfer them into miles. That’s the way to be more flexible.

Hi, i have just found out that it is possible to gain point / miles with Priority club. i am a Gold member. my question is….. is it possible to gain ‘points for hotel nights’ when flying. or can you only gain miles with an airline and point with hotel… appologies if this is a stupid question.
Also is it possible to get points back from flights historical flights.
