Q: If I book a points break rewards night and say make a phone call or buy a bottle of water and charge it to the room, will I get status for that night? Since I ‘paid’ for the room. Thanks and love the site too!
A: Sorry, this still won’t make it a qualifying night – all you will get are the points earned for spend on the extras. Glad you like the site!

Please can you advise if you stay at a hotel with the 5000 points
offer is the 5000 points for the room or for each person?
A: Good news – it’s 5000 points per room!

I am about to reserve 3 nights in the last part of March at
Staybridge, San Jose, CA. What is your best guess? I see no special
offers NOW, Should I wait and see if a “2 nights 1 free” or another
splashy offer comes up? Should I just move-on and and reserve? What is
your best guess? Love your site!
Hi,
I think it’s time to book in now, offers tend to come out every quarter and we’ve had a good run for this quarter.Don’t forget Staybridge Suites only earn 5pts per dollar, but the fixed bonuses should help. The other fact is that most bonuses will still apply
If this is your first stay this year, I expect you should land the following points for this stay! (I’ve made some assumptions about your rate & status)
Qualifying Stay 1000 * Platinum bonus 500 New member bonus 1500 Welcome back bonus 3000 Next stay bonus 1500 20,000 points or 4,000 miles 1000 20,000 points or 4,000 miles 1000 Total 9500

Hi PC Insider,
If I book a points break rewards night and say make a phone call or buy a bottle of water and charge it to the room, will I get status for that night? Since I ‘paid’ for the room.
Thanks and love the site too!
Also if I book a points + $cash stay does that count towards status? Thanks
I recently status matched to PC Platinum and have no prior hotel stays with PC. I am enrolled in both the Suite Dilemma (opted for stays) and the Crack the Case promotions. Before I make reservations to take advantage of these promotions are there other new member, other promotions that I should register for that will permit me to concurrently earn points with these two promotions? Thanks.
Priority Club Rewards Launches the “Anywhere Challenge”
Anyone know about this, and if so, can they help with questions per day?
did anyone get their points for the anywhere challenge yet?
Hi..5000 points reward night list is updated
@KPS
Thanks – new deals posted.
@steven scheiber
No points here..
@PB
All the promotions are on the current promotions page – have a look
@Sarah
No base points awarded on Points+Cash stays (and no this doesn’t count as a qualifying night). Only points for discretionary spend are awwared
Hi, I wonder if rate IKEX3 is taken into account for “Crack the Case” promo. The rate is supposed not to give any points. Thank you in advance!
If I have 2 accounts with the same first and last names, can these be combined into 1. The accounts have been there for awhile when I started a new account because I thought I lost the other. If you can combine them, how do I go about doing this and is there a points penalty.
Thanks.
Hey, where are all the Priority club bonus points for winter/2011???
Your WEB site should keep a tab for hotels that are offering exceptional PC bonus points. For eg. Holiday Inn: Sioux Falls offers a 10000 per night package.
How can I ensure when I book a room that I will get a club level room for my upgrade. We enjoy the CL benefits over a suite. Should I just book a room that is one level down from CL on the hotel rates page?
I am awaiting Royal Ambassodor status and hence Platinum Elite for PC.
Hi, I wonder if you can help me with something that’s been bugging me for ages…
Whenever I stay at a Holiday Inn in the UK, I can never reconcile the amount of money I spend against the points that are awarded. Here’s an example.
Last week I stayed 3 nights at a HI and was charged £90 per night. the total bill came to £270 and the information on the invoice showed this to be £225 plus £45 tax. On this particular occasion there were no additonal charges.
When this came through on my PC account it showed up as a total spend of £225 (incorrectly made up for £210 for the room and £15 for food), which was converted to $349.10 (exchange rate shown is .64443), but the qualified spending is only $294.84 !! which gave me 2949 points.
So, I guess my question simply is why is the qualified spend less than the actual spend, even when convereted to USD ?
This isn’t an isolated incident by the way. I never seem to be able to reconcile
Hi -
New PC members seem to get various bonus points and promotions. Is there a way for a spouse or partner to join, get the extra points and tranfer them, or maybe combine the accounts?
Or do they only allow one member per houshold?
Regards, Mark
PS: Great site – many thanks!
Dear Sir,
When I login Priority-club web site with Chinese or Japanese language, there is a “null’ word follows my account name. But when I login on English website, there isn’t.
Can you tell me why?
Thank you so much!
Hansen
I have been trying to send you the following but on 5 occasions the website would not accept the CAPTCHA letters. What I was trying to send you was:
It’s a great site – thank you.
I have reached the point in life where I qualify for the senior citizens rates. Please tell me whether these rates qualify for points and qualifying nights.
My e-mail address is xxxxx
@Danny
WARNING WARNING WARNING,
I finally figured this out with the help of a calculator and someone in the call centre who understood exchange rates.
To cut a very long story short, when I stay in a hotel in the UK, the room rate posted to my PC account is the net amount in GBP EXCLUDING taxes. When this is converted USD, the system deducts another 20% to cover US taxes, so the qualifying spend is 20% less than it should be.
The PC helpdesk are now trawling through my history over the last 5 years, but it looks like at 500 points per week, I might have been shortchanged by a few hundred thousand points.
YOU NEED TO CHECK THIS OUT TOO.
Danny.
Just wondering if there are any promotions for EUR between the end of the BONUS points up to 30,000 and any new May promotion like double points starting on May 15th? thanks.
Do you have the code for this promotion? I couldn’t seem to get it

Hi, Just trying to work out how to get up to the 4 x multiplier on the promotion, and noticed on the terms and conditions it states : 500 bonus points or 100 miles will be awarded on every qualifying night at participating InterContinental® (including InterContinental® Alliance Resorts), Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn® (including Holiday Inn Club Vacations®), Express by Holiday Inn™, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites® hotels worldwide between September 15, 2011 and December 31, 2011 (the “Promotion Period”). Maximum bonus award is 20,000 bonus points or 4,000 bonus miles. Most business and leisure rates are qualifying. Bonus points or miles will be awarded and deposited into Priority Club Rewards members account immediately upon earning.
Do they have Express by Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn Express as 2 different groups ? And are there such a thing as 2 types of hotel under the banners ?
Many thanks,
Neil.
Hello,
Just wanted to see if you could refer me for the priority club program.
Thanks
In Athens last week. There was a priority club offer for 4 in 1 orf something like that. If you stay at different types of HIs etc you can earn up to 80,000 extra points. I can’t find it on the IHG website, nor on yours.
Do you know where I can sign up for it ?
@David Woodroof
All over it David – http://www.priorityclubinsider.com/2011/08/earn-up-to-80000-points/
@neil
They are effectively the same, IHG use “Express by Holiday Inn” and “Holiday Inn Express” brands in different countries.
Thanks for a great website – almost makes me wish I was still a road warrior
Is there a way to get to someone at PC other than the standard customer service folks? I have been trying to get credit for items bought through the shopping site when they had the bonus program back in Jul/Aug – and after 6 weeks, 8 emails from PC that showed they hadn’t read any of the prior ones, and three phone calls that don’t get anything resolved other than “someone has been assigned to my case” I’d sure like to contact someone that might be able to help.
Any recommendations would be appreciated!
@Brian Koetting
The most effective team is the ambassador service center , e-mailing is generally useless and never gets the desired result! http://www.priorityclubinsider.com/priority-club/contact-priority-club/
Hi –
Just a thought… If I have a meal (or drinks) at any IC group hotels, but I am NOT actually staying there, is it possible to collect PC points for the spend? Or are they ONLY for residents?
Regards, Mark
I have stayed several times now and when I stay at a Hotel (usually Holiday Inn) I book and pay for 2 rooms and when the points come through I get a “qualified stay” and then and “overlapping stay” and the overlap is never for the same amount of points as the qualified. Does anyone know if I am booking it wrong I am trying to get the max points (obviously) for the stays that I book. It appears as though I do NOT get the bonus points for the overlapping stays.
@DM
You are quite lucky to get any points for overlapping stays – you need to read the T&C’s again, but IIRC only the first rom stay counts for PC points. (At least that was what I discovered when I booked 3-4 rooms for a reunion weekend).
How can I book with my Airfrance miles an IHG hotel? thanks for the info and regards.
