Tip: Crowne Plaza South Beach – Z Ocean Hotel

I’ve just returned from a brief stay here on points. I believe it It’s possibly the best value for PCR points in the system with the “suite” rooms going for up to US$450 per night – all for only 25,000 points.

The hotel…

Rooms are great, each with two flatscreen TV’s , kitchen area (although this is limited to a sink, fridge and a coffee machine) , balcony – although if you don’t get a view overlooking the pool area I’d ask to change.

Platinum’s can also benefit from free Internet access & the daily resort fee being waived.

    Great tip. Do the rooms have pull out sofa’s in them ? The rooms only seem to be with kings, but max occupancy is listed as 4.

    @Derek There was definitely an sofa which looked like it could convert – although I didn’t investigate further

    @Clarice
    Points – but due the the small number of the rooms you will need to book well in advance for a weekend!

    Thanks. I sent the hotel an email and here is the response:

    Dear Mr. XXXX,

    All of our rooms have 1 king size bed and a full size sofa bed in the room, depending on the size of You and guest it may accommodate all 4 of your party; otherwise I would say it fits 3 people comfortably.

    Best regards.

    Heck Yeh! I stayed there with family and friends this past February, 3 rooms, 75,000 points, saved us over $1200 for the rooms we stayed in, AND, they gave every adult in my party(6 of us) free drink vouchers for the bar. Only there one night, went on a cruise the next day. Another bonus, if you rent National, Dollar, Hertz, etc. they have IN-TOWN rental locations within a block or two of this hotel(National is literally across the street, like 50 feet away), so if you use rental points and do a one-way(cruise, etc.) you cannot beat this location. :)
