The Future of Point Breaks?

February 14th, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

I thought I’d pull this comment out from Plizatnum, if you’ve been with Priority Club for a while you will have noticed that Point Breaks used to run for a quarter, and they are now running month by month…we’re possibly in  the final throws…

I hear that PCR will eventually eliminate “Point Breaks” and replace it with a program that allows certain hotels in the IHG system to be redeemed at 50% of the hotel brand’s normal redemption price. Not sure if the new list will be updated quarterly or monthly… but look for the change (or official announcement of the change) to be posted on priorityclub.com later on in 2011).

Word has it that the “new” list of PB hotels will be broader in terms of number of hotels; but of course, the cost of redemption per hotel stay will increase.

Stay Tuned…

As far as US hotels go: There are 56 hotels in 28 states… In the UK – there are an usually high number (13). Beware that the HI Express listed for France seems to be a bad link…
